Deadlines

• Abstract deadline: January 31, 2011
• Notification of acceptance of abstracts: February 7, 2011
• Respond to Abstract Acceptance Offer: February 21, 2011
• Deadline for abstract presenters to register for conference February 28, 2010
• Registration fee for conference will be waived for poster presenters

Submission Guidelines for Poster Presentation

1. Please be clear and concise. Abstracts should be structured with subheadings to clearly display the required sections:
   • Background and Statement of Purpose
   • Methods, materials and analytical procedure used
   • Summary of the results in sufficient detail to support conclusion
   • Conclusions reached ( do not state “results will be discussed”)
2. Maximum of 2750 characters. This is approximately 550 words.
3. Abstracts exceeding the character limit will be considered “incomplete.” Abstracts marked “incomplete” at the close of the submission deadline will be ineligible for consideration.
4. Author(s) Information:
   • The abstract submitter will receive all information concerning the abstract(s) submitted. It is his/her responsibility to communicate this information to the co- authors.
   • The authors names should be listed as: Given name, surname and affiliation.
5. No tables or figures should be used.
6. The presenting author of the accepted abstract must register for the conference by February 28, 2011 in order for the abstract to be included in the Journal of Rheumatology.
